Salaamun Alaykum
Please READ CAREFULLY!
This is a follow up to a question I posed to my Ahl, yesterday, with the title "Question to ponder... Why Does the Quran Quote "Mawj" and even conceal it from most readers?"
All the provided comments are good and on point! Thank you to everyone who shared their understanding.
Almost all the shared comments focused on why would Allahh include Mawj, to protect the insights from those who rush!
All true! But there is more:
How did you personally feel when we started distinguishing between good (Saalih) Duaa and Mawj? Didn't you get the feeling of "Alhamdulillah! We are allowed by Allahh to steer clear from confusion and darknesses!"? Didn't that give you an unmistakable sense of affirmation that Allahh is our guide on this journey?
What about the Abrahamic locution? Doesn't the discovery of Mawj provide us a clear sense that there is concealment in the Quran? Didn't we get a clear sense that Abrahamic Locution is real? And don't you get a clear sense that the enemies of the Abrahamic Locution are focused intensely on this concept as they tried (and mostly almost succeeded in) distracting the followers of the Quran from AL?
Did you sense some fear and hope at the same time? Doesn't the fear of losing the contact with Allahh increase with the discovery of Mawj? Didn't we all feel the desperation that, without Allahh, we have no hope? Didn't we all see DIRECTLY what it means when Allahh told us: "He misguides many with i, and he guides many with it"?
Now! Think from a different perspective!
Think of the direct impact on us and on our INDIVIDUAL connection, through the Quran, and with Allahh!
Do we NOT realize that we must hold the Quran closer to us now, becoming more observant, and ascribing to Allahh his due reverence?
Do we NOT taste the concept of Jannah (concealed abode of privileged understanding) and how real it is?
Do we NOT fear the concept of 3azaab (punishment of separation) and how dangerous and how immediate it is?
Aren't we now in a better position to go back to better understand several Ayat that talk about the mixture of salty brackish water with the sweet water, or the Ayat that talk about extracting sweet milk from between chyme and blood, etc?
ISN'T HAVING MAWJ IN THE QURAN A CLEAR SIGN OF LOVING MERCY AND DIVINE ENDEARMENT FROM OUR CREATOR TOWARDS THE MUTTAQOON?
And still... There is more! Can you reflect on more lessons and benefits to us? Share with us below!
Love to all, Hany
P.S.: I am a little disappointed that relatively few people actually commented and liked! I hope that we see better response in the future insha Allahh. But I also feel glad that so many of my Ahl are listening, taking in the 3ilm, and comprehending. Alhamdulillah! I am grateful to Allahh for allowing me to have all of you in my life!
Keep me in your Duaa, please!
Salamun Alaykkum.
The mawj effect has played a very big role causing immense damage in understanding the divine scripture and thereby making the umma run behind the'piped pipers' kind of these preachers towards the epicentre of 'sea of confusion'.
Failure to contemplate on why Allahh brand his creation summun, bukmun and yumyun. What is that he is warning us about? What is the reward and what for is the punishment? What is after life? All such concepts become invisible to a person who cannot focus himself to understand the scripture keepingin mind the basic concept of monotheism .
Thus when landed inthe mid sea they are taken for a ride hither and thither encompassing multiple mawj.
Era of human awareness: Let the irrigators, with their evidence based 3ilm spread the awareness to every other channel so that the truth is brought before their eyes.Such as-
1.Allahh is different from Allahumma.
2.dark thread of ignorance should be separated from white thread of knowledge and guidance.
3.Swim past the darkness to enter the fajr.
4.Understand the empty words of man-Nar and seek theNoor of Allahh.
5.and from herd mentality to individual seeking.
6.Not to be dumb deaf and blind but ask questions to arrive at the truth.
So much to continue to be explored.
I only fear that my core should not forget our Rabb, lest l get drowned in mawj. But my toiling should be with evidence based lexicon to build my fulk/safina to escape from the effect of mawj to become 3ibadhi,InshaAllahh.
Thank you MQ for sharing the Fadhl.
Salaamun Alaykkum.
Salaamun Alaykum Dr Hany
that we are here able to listen and absorb and comment as such.
I’m so much in awe of all the knowledge you have dispensed from the Quran and especially in trepidation regarding the mawj as I’m still struggling with the Arabic terms and will always have to refer to its translation. So my struggle is to catch up to your past segments repeatedly and venture only gingerly to other parts of the Quran to see if I can ‘see’ the meanings - this is my challenge.
So my apologies for not commenting as much because of my preoccupation of getting to the understanding repeatedly every time.
I do hope to graduate - insyaallah
thank you dr Hany for your tireless efforts in dissecting every ayah every time - we wait in anticipation always
Salam Aleykum
Yes!!! All those feelings, and very thankful, kind of happy for myself but worried for my children, and some disappointment as why didn't i learn Arabic, as you explain the elegance of the Quran, and to feel and see that i didn't know anything and still know too less, wonderful wonderful Quran. From now on i just hope to learn as much as i can, to teach my loved ones, hoping inshallah they will not have those barriers of biases to reject, inshallah they will hear with open mind, or like an empty cup, willing to listen and to understand. So one day maybe i can learn from my children but as tayr, very mixed feelings, every time i learn something new. I hope all the muslims will learn and start waking up, life is short, and letting to the afterlife is too scary and too risky. These is how i feel. Allah may help us inshallah. Salam Aleykum
Salamun Alaikum
Alhamdulillah. With Mawj one has to be always alert, more discerning and more critical in one's reading and analysis of the verses of the Quran and always accompanied by the dua for His guidance in our journey seeking to return to His straight path.
Salamun Alykum,
Lessons from understanding Mawj (or more precisely making an effort to understand):
1- It is a humbling experience.
It gives you a sense of the magnitude of what is there to learn in comparison to what you know.
Always look with kindness to others who are not there yet.
Do not turn your cheeks with arrogance to anyone.
2- Its a personal proof that this 3ilm is from Allah.
3- Provides the confidence that Allah is guiding you.
4- Stills in your heart the fear of losing the connection.
5- Never take Allah for granted.
6- Aspire to more evidence based knowledge and discernment.
7- Mawj is one of the legions of Allah
8- Learn to be patient.
9- Keep the good company
10- It is not in your hand to guide anyone
